Hi there! I’m Ashley Breton,
Creator of Visualizing Wellness.
Ashley Breton is an Artist and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, LCAT, based in Brooklyn, NY. She has been invested in incorporating art as means of healing within her personal journey for decades, finding great benefit and importance in witnessing the Self holistically.
Ashley began her professional journey as a BFA Photography student at Parsons the New School for Design, at which point she was exploring the relationship between trust, vulnerability and witnessing through portraiture. Her path led her to pursue a MPS in Creative Arts Therapy & Creativity Development, at Pratt Institute, where Ashley developed a personal relationship with incorporating somatic witnessing through Mindfulness-Based practices.
Ashley Identifies as Queer, Multiracial Dominican, Bruja/Witch; with personal experiences in anxiety, depression, and PTSD - She is grateful to offer space for those who may share similar experiences in identity.

Approach
Ashley is intuitively person-centered, with the belief that every individual is best capable of navigating their own lives and manifesting meaningful transformation. She strives to be transparent in order to build true meaningful relationships with clients in a therapeutic context.
Expertise
In sessions, Ashley integrates somatic attention within emotional processing and incorporates Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Jungian theories within creative processes to promote dimensional means of gaining self-insight. Above all, Ashley practices as trauma-informed and has experience working with depression, anxiety, various trauma, existential & identity concerns and race concerns.
